SETTING
Mondaino is a small and friendly medieval hill town surrounded by rolling countryside with woodland, vineyards, olive groves, and breathtaking views of the distant Appeninne mountains. For more on the town visit www.mondaino.com.

It has a lively bar in the central piazza (above), a bank, a chemist, a pizza take-away and a small supermarket. There is a restaurant in the village and others nearby. Photo below shows view of village from our farmhouse.

It is 25 kms from the Adriatic coast, 25 kms from the magical town of Urbino, 2 hours by train to Bologna, 2 hours to Ravenna, and 4 hours to Venice.
